Blur - Damon Albarn: Blur Reunion Could Happen

The Blur reunion saga, will they, won’t they, has been almost as long-running and confusing as the Led Zeppelin reunion debacle.

The latest news on Blur comes from former lead singer, Damon Albarn, who has stated that a Blur reunion is very possible, but not for a while.

It was over a year ago when the first rumblings of a thawing in the relationship between the band members became apparent.

The four original band members met up for lunch, and Albarn and Coxon, the two whose relationship fallout was claimed to be the main cause for the break up...

Nirvana - Linkblog for Nov 08 to Nov 15

Here’s a bunch of cool music-related blog posts I’ve come across recently.

And In the End: 25 Great Last Songs On An AlbumAlthough less and less relevant in the age of MP3s, an album’s sequencing used to be a vital part of the creative process. Important for pacing, creating a mood, and establishing a cohesive artistic statement, the order of the tracks was often mulled over as closely as the recording itself. Opening numbers have been given quite a bit of attention, especially with the now famous scene in High Fidelity where the employees of the ficticious Championship Vinyl record...

Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine Row

Band Spark Chaos In AsdaIncendiary American rap-metal legends Rage Against The Machine has sparked chaos in a Preston supermarket after their seminal track 'Killing In The Name' was played over the speakers in Asda.Taken from the band's iconic debut album, 'Killing In The Name Of' contains the repeated phrase "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me" screamed by singer Zack De La Rocha. The band's stance on American imperialism earned them a place on the post 9/11 blacklist, and the song is one of the most censored of all time.According to the Lancashire Evening Post the song was...

METALLICA - METALLICA: Pro-Shot Footage From Salt Lake City Available

METALLICA is playing at least five songs a night from its new "Death Magnetic" album on its current tour, but the group's not ignoring its older material by any means. In fact, METALLICA continues to dip heavily into its catalog as well, giving bassist Robert Trujillo a chance to put his mark on tunes recorded up to 20 years before he joined the band. The Pulse of Radio asked Trujillo to name some of his favorite METALLICA classics to play. "Anything off 'Ride the Lightning' and 'Master of Puppets' is always a great, fun time for me as a bass...

Bush - Bush are ready to return?

Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale recently did an interview and he talked about a possible Bush reunion.

He said: "The chances are quite high. My album 'Wanderlust' was going to be a Bush album. And then the guitar player, Nigel Pulsford, who originally was the one who didn't want to tour anymore, suddenly didn't want to leave his family. I understand. I think he felt that he missed his daughter growing up the first few years. It would have been a great year for Bush; it would have been a really good return. No one stole anyone's motorbike or wife, so it's...

Bush - “President Bush” and “Governor Palin” Big Election Day Winners

Orlando, FL (November 14, 2008) - Two of the biggest winners on Election Day were comedian and impersonator John Morgan, ABC Television’s “The Next Best Thing” finalist and “The Definitive President George W. Bush,” and fellow political impersonator Patsy Gilbert (”Governor Sarah Palin”) who were caught up in a whirlwind of media visits in Atlanta last week during the final days leading up to the Presidential election.

Bringing an Election Day message celebrating American unity and the privilege every American has of casting their ballot, the pair made television appearances on “Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta,” as well as FamilyNet’s “Mornings!”...

Nirvana - Nirvana cover recreated by child star

The baby originally captured on Nirvanas legendary 'Nevermind album has re-created the shot as a now seventeen year old student.

Spencer Elden, went back to the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center in Pasadena, California, to re-take the legendary picture. Back at the time Eldens parents were paid only $200 for the photographed shot. The new picture probably earn't him little more but will certainly he a good talking point.

"It's kind of cool, knowing that I've been on an album cover," Spencer expressed to the Independent. "But I feel pretty normal about it because growing up, I've always known I was the Nirvana...

Metallica - Metallica - Death Magnetic - Album Review

There are two things in my mind as I approach my Death Magnetic review. One is that such a record cannot be compared to a classic (Master Of Puppets) that has been part of our lives for over twenty years.

The second thing is guilt. Yes, guilt. After the critical roasting they got for St Anger, Metallica went back to their roots. Is it even remotely right for us fans to insist on ‘more of the same’ from a band? Surely artistic growth alone suggests that Metallica should have been allowed to shape their musical style instead of returning to the...
