Gorillaz have long been rumoured to be heading to Australia, but those rumours kicked up a notch this week.
Christie Elizer of The Music Network says that a tour could be announced as early as this week.
Recently on the BBC, frontman Damon Albarn announced that the band were doing 22 dates in Europe and Australia, which first sparked people’s curiosity.
The band have never toured Australia, and Albarn’s previous band Blur last made it to these shores in 1997.
