Sandra Zettpunkt, a.k.a. Music For Your Heart, writes gentle, minimalist songs and, apart from a double bass contribution from Volker Zander of Calexico, performs them all herself. The style is mainly early Cat Power, apart from the soft country jangle of ‘The One’, which has echoes of Teenage Fanclub; perhaps not uncoincidentally Raymond McGinley supervised the recording in Glasgow and Hamburg.
