Lit News: Lit Drummer Passes Away at 39

Lit's Allen Shellenberger has lost his battle with brain cancer. The drummer, who underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments after being diagnosed with a malignant glioma brain tumor last year, passed away Thursday while surrounded by the band, his family and friends.

"To know Al was to know laughter. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone," the band said in a statement. "He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Words cannot begin to express how much he will be missed."
