Gretchen Wilson announced earlier this week that she’s splitting with SonyNashville, and Wednesday she told the Associated Press that she was going to try and create her own label, Redneck Records.

She cited staff changes at Sony for her reason to leave, saying that it had changed so drastically since 2004 that she no longer felt comfortable there:
