The Kinks may well have almost been the worlds first gangsta music group.

The band were once approached by notorious gangsters The Krays who told the band they wanted to manage them.

The 60s criminals Ronnie and Reggie asked the band if they could look after their affairs during their heyday.

According to Ray Davies, the twins even tried to set up a meeting to discuss the possibility but it never happened.
