Matchbox Twenty singer Rob Thomas has suffered the embarrassment of appearing on the same radio show where a teenage rape victim was humiliated.

Thomas was on the Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O’Neil show on the Austereo Network across Australia. Their other “guest” this week was a teenage girl who they put through a lie detector test against her will only to discover that she had been raped at the age of 12.

When the now 14 year old girl revealed on air that she had been raped, Kyle said. “Right. Is that the only experience you’ve had”.
