As Rock Daily reported earlier today, law enforcement officials believe that Murray administered the powerful anesthetic Propofol, or its brand name Diprivan, to Jackson within 24 hours of his death. Officials also believe that it was the Propofol that ultimately caused Jackson to suffer from the fatal sudden cardiac arrest, as an overdose of the sedative could cause a patient to stop breathing, leading to a buildup of carbon dioxide in the body. Police recovered Propofol, an IV line and oxygen tanks from the singer’s home after his death. Propofol is usually restricted to hospital use only.
