Basement Jaxx have announced detail of their forthcoming fifth full-length album, due for October release on XL Recordings.

The record is entitled Scars and the collab-happy duo will feature Amp Fiddler, Yoko Ono, Santigold, Sam Sparro and more along the way. Typically, it's a varied affair, with Billboard mentioning electro, rap, funk, ska and house in their exclusive preview of the record.

In other Jaxx news, the group apparently also have a second record in the can as well. This one, though, is an untitled work that is heavy on "Pink Floyd-y, more ambient-y stuff... more for bath-time music." There are currently...
