Well, the long wait is over - Sheffield giants Arctic Monkeys have released their new single 'Crying Lightning'.

Arctic Monkeys last released an album in 2007 with their Mercury nominated set 'Favourite Worst Nightmare'. Led by Alex Turner, the singer took time off to launch his new project Last Shadow Puppets.

Recalling grandiose pop by the likes of Scott Walker, the band's sweeping, melancholic drama has ebbed into new material by Arctic Monkeys. Recorded with Josh Homme in his California studio, the band's new album is said to have a rock edge.
