Apples In Stereo have decided that it's time to make a right turn, and completely change their direction. They're currently working on a new album that will change the whole foundation of their sound.

"We are currently working on an album of soul music, filtered through a UFO," said Rob Schneider when speaking about the new project.

The album is as-of-yet untitled and will land (maybe in a UFO?) sometime in 2010.

In the meantime, they're marking the end of an era by releasing a best-of compilation titled #1 Hits Explosion on September 1st via Yep Roc Records. It will...
