Gossip lead singer, Beth Ditto, has revealed how she copes when she is away from her long-time lover, Freddie. She said: "If you think about what it means to be on tour and be gone for six months out of the year and to date someone for so long, then all of a sudden they’re just gone. My favourite songs are sad songs you can dance to."

The 28-year-old said that depressing music actually improves her mood. I can relate to that, actually, although I’m sure it might sound strange to some.
