Award winning producer Quincy Jones has spoken of his profound shock at the death of pop icon Michael Jackson.

Quincy Jones is a living legend in the music industry. As a producer, Jones is almost without peer having graduated from his sensitive recordings of jazz artists to his later work in the pop field.

The producer met Michael Jackson while working on the musical 'The Wiz'. A Motown founded project, the film was a black American re-imagining of 'The Wizard Of Oz'. A relative flop, it nonetheless established a relationship between Quincy Jones and the young star.
