Yoko Ono claims John Lennon would not have been surprised that she won a major music honour.

The widow of the late Beatles legend was handed a Lifetime Achievement gong � her first ever music award - at the MOJO Honours List in London last night (11.06.09) and praised organisers for their 'courageous' decision.

She said: 'I think it�s a great honour, I am just overjoyed. It's really great that I went on stage and people were very warm towards me, I didn't expect that.

"For the longest time, I never expect people to be so warm when I get on stage."
