Longtime Nine Days lead singer John Hampson is readying his debut solo album, Shiny New Album, on June 2nd. Hampson told Alternative Addiction in a recent interview that the sound of the album is a bit of a departure from his music with Nine Days.

�It�s less rock, a lot more acoustic guitars, and a lot more vocals,� said Hampson. �I really was going for a lot of layered harmonies and textures.�
