Two years ago, I listened to an album so breathtaking that I ended up cursing like a sailor who contracted VD and had his pocket picked. Love is Simple impressed me to such an extent, it was my personal choice for best album of the year. And yet despite, or perhaps because of, all of my proselytizing, the album placed fifteenth in our final, end of the year tally.
