JILL SCOTT has given birth to a baby boy, her manager confirmed today.

The R&B singer and actress and her fianc�, drummer Lil John Roberts, welcomed Jett Hamilton Roberts into the world on Monday (20.04.09). He weighed in at 7 lbs, 8 oz.

Scott, 37, discovered she was pregnant shortly before leaving for Botswana to film The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency.

She said: "At one point I was trying to gain weight for the role, and I noticed I had put on 7 lbs. in 7 days. And I thought, my god! What's going on here.
