The lead single and opening track on A Woman A Man Walked By is ‘Black Hearted Love’. It’s as musically straightforward as advance reviews had led me to believe, but when you consider the PJ Harvey discography it is inevitably going to be judged against, John Parish has done well here. The song is the best on the record, it gave me hope that this record was a return to the work of hers which I prefer.
