Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan has written a new message to fans in which he claims the band are working on an astonishing 44 songs.

Smashing Pumpkins formed over twenty years ago, and their brand of goth-grunge smashed through into the mainstream in the 90s. Their seminal album 'Mellon Collin And The Infinite Sadness' became one of the best selling releases of the decade in America, making Smashing Pumpkins household names in the process.
