Daft Punk News: Daft Punk To Score 'Tron' Sequel

(andPOP) - Electronica duo Daft Punk will compose the score for "TR2N," Disney's sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic "Tron."

Billboard confirms the French act has put together a new recording studio especially for the project.

The movie is currently in production in Vancouver and tentatively slated for a 2011 release.

The collaboration marks Daft Punk's return to the studio following 2005's "Human After All." Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter then went on hiatus, before embarking on an extensive world tour in 2007.
