The Black Balloon EP is the Kills’ third release from last years’ LP, Midnight Boom, and also includes a few tracks recorded for an exclusive iTunes session.
The first track from the session is a stripped back cover of Patsy Cline’s Crazy, sung in typical deadpan style by Alison Mosshart, it is sparse, simple and effective. The band’s other half, Jamie Hince, joins in for Kissy Kissy; another melancholy duet utilising the subtle power of an acoustic guitar and the pairing of their weary tones.
