Actor Eddie Murphy has reportedly signed on to play the late comedian Richard Pryor in an upcoming biopic about his life.

According to AOL's BlackVoices, the actor has finally agreed to take on the role after several meetings and delays, playing the legendary comedian in a new script written by director Bill Condon.

The film will be titled "Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?" and the Fox Searchlight studio is rumored to be putting it in theaters.
