The Iron Maiden frontman said he was amazed that most musicians and rock stars prefer partying to playing music.

Speaking to Serbian newspaper Blic ahead of the band's show in Belgrade next month, he said: "Most people who join rock and roll bands just want to drink, to screw around, and to try drugs a bit.

He added that he and the band were looking forward to playing the Belgrade Arena on February 10th as they had "some wonderful memories" of the city.
