The former Blue singer has landed a part alongside the US rapper and British actor Danny Dyer in an as-yet-untitled gangster movie.

The 29-year-old star revealed: "I'd say it's a gangster movie. You know, the original British type. How can I explain it? It's kind of like a rock and roll new film."

Simon - who attended the UK premiere of Will Smith's latest release, 'Seven Pounds' - says he is a huge Will Smith fan and joked he has been to every one of the Hollywood star's movie premieres "since I've been famous".
