While many Relix readers are familiar with Wilco guitarist Nels Cline, they may not realize he has a twin brother who is also a professional musician. Alex Cline is a drummer who has performed with Nels over the years but has also led his own group. Next month, the jazz label Cryptogramophone will issue new discs by both Clines. Nels' Coward is a true solo endeavor, as he plays all of the instruments on an acoustic-flavored recording full of "luminously introspective orchestrations."
