Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey has announced that founding member Reed Mathis will leave the group. Mathis replaced Tea Leaf Green bassist Ben Chambers in December 2007 and had spent much of 2008 balancing both gigs. However, he will now direct his energies on the rock quartet. Matt Hayes, who also plays in Oklahoma-based experimental group The Doldrums, will become the new JFJO bassist. He has performed with the band as of late, including the group's New Year's Eve show.
