Throughout this entire gig the lead singer kept exclaiming that they couldn’t believe they were the Brixton Academy when only 18 months ago they were playing the Brixton Windmill. Quite a shift and surely a clear sign of success, not to mention the droves of fans that turned up. In 18 months this collective of indie-pop loving guys have gone from not being able to afford instruments at university to having their debut album sell double platinum. That, my friends, is not something you can write home about every day.
