The former couple - who married in 1992 and divorced in 2007 - are said to have rekindled their romance after being encouraged to remarry by their 15-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.
A report from the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper claims Whitney, 45, and Bobby, 39, were "looking very romantic while dining together in Georgia recently".
However, a representative for the singer insists: "They are just good friends whose primary interest is the wellbeing of their daughter."
Earlier this year, Bobby revealed he believes his marriage to Whitney - who has battled an addiction to crack-cocaine - was destined to fail from the start.
