I received word today that one band I’ve really been impressed with lately (that’s Lowry) is covering one of my favorite ’80s songs (that’s “Africa”) for the new Guilt By Association collection. Everyone should scoot over to the band’s MySpace page and have a listen. It’s a fabulous version, taking a synth heavy anthem and redoing it Lowry style - which is to say they make it beautiful and intimate. I’m going to end up buying the album just for this one track, I can tell already.
