The first time most of us heard Hell Rell was on the first Diplomatic Immunity compilation, when the Diplomats were still on Roc-A-Fella, in 2003. Spitting a freestyle over the phone from prison, Hell Rell eagerly displayed his lyrical talent and his ambition to make it in the world of hip-hop upon his release. Cam'ron shouted him out on a few tracks after that, but we didn't really hear much else about Rell until he was finally released about a year later.
