An eye-popping strobe of live performance and superimposed viz, The Secret Machines' latest video shows off the band's taste for technology and spectacle. It is definitely more active than Curtis' laid-back vocals, but not Phil Karnat's wrist-damaging riffage. Between the ax mastery and the band's nu-gaze songcraft, "Atomic Heels" is a refreshing throwback to the future.
