The second in the limited edition series (500 only) Always The Bridesmaid, 'Days of Elaine' sounds just like the Smiths and Belle and Sebastian. The lyrics are sad, the tune is jaunty but it's ever so familiar indiepop (try singing "the boy with the Arab strap" along to it). The B-side is the Decemberists' cover of 'I've Sticking With You', a duet between Jenny Conlee and Colin Meloy. It starts quirky then becomes quite tender, which is a bit of a surprise when you're most familiar (from the advert) with that first nursery rhyme part and not what follows. A...
