Japanese Motors debut single is a memorable three and a half minutes of authentic US garage rock. Vocally it bares more than a passing resemblance to Julian Casablancas� lazy Strokes drawl and rasp. Singer Alex Knost is probably also inspired by the likes of Lou Reed, early Bowie and Jonathan Richman. The opening guitar echo, thumping drums and unfussy bass riff set the platform for the vocals to grab the song by the balls and give it life in a most rousing fashion.
