Weezer have announced plans that they are soon to record their next album. And, in keeping with their previous trio of albums, it is to be another self-titled affair.

The ubiquitous Jacknife Lee will be at the production helm, the same chap who twiddled the knobs on this year's Weezer album.

This next album will be the last by the band under their current DGC contract, after which the band have stated they have "no idea" what the future for Weezer will hold.
