At Mount Zoomer, the sophomore album released last month by Montreal’s Wolf Parade, is a tough album to wrap your head around. Much darker than 2005’s instant classic Apologies to the Queen Mary, Zoomer is Wolf Parade’s “artistic” statement, an exploration of their sonic boundaries and a departure from their three-minute pop songs.
