Rancid played a sold out 5-night stand in NY last week. Even though they haven’t released an album in 5 years and despite during inter-song banter alluded to a new album, there were no new songs in the set - a big pet-peeve of mine. They did play this Operation Ivy song with Lars Frederickson on vocals (despite ex-Op Ivy Tim Armstrong being the logical choice). I don’t know who generally takes on what vocalduties, but Tim’s might be reduced since his voice sounded totally shredded.
