Lonestar's ballad 'Amazed,' off their 'Lonely Grill' album, hit #1 on the charts in July 1999 and spent eight weeks there. It was the longest running hit country song since 1966's 'Almost Persuaded' by David Houston! It even crossed over to pop radio but only got as high as #24. It was then remixed in 2000 and re-released to mainstream radio and shot back up to #1 where it stayed for two weeks.
