When they burst on the scene in the 1990's with a sound that combined the best electronica, hip-hop and and Brit-pop sensibilities, UNKLE seemed to be setting themselves up as major players within the musical vanguard. The new millenium hasn't been quite so kind to them, with the departure of DJ Shadow setting off a long but steady decline in quality of output, which reaches a new low with End Titles.
