Although it is tempting to praise The Pigeon Detectives for the prodigious rate at which theyre churning out records, that temptation disappears quickly when the results are as dull, derivative, and utterly forgettable as this, the second single from their second album, Emergency. While the Leeds band are hardly known for innovation, the lack of originality here borders on the depressing as theyve basically taken The Cures Boys Dont Cry and stripped it of anything that made that song exciting or interesting, before topping it all off with vapid but festival-friendly lyrics about how much fun it is to be young....
