As their press-pack would tell it, the Brooklyn duo spent forty days and forty nights at Old Soul Studios in deepest wilds of the Catskill Mountains (i.e. the moderately sized town of Catskill, NY). They emerged bearing a Mellotron-masterwork and they called it LP3. On the cover, a bolt of berry-colored stripes hits a porcelain muse. She shields her eyes from its burning sherbet-glory. Evan Mast ("Beat Maker") and Mike Stroud ("Melody Keeper") remind me of god-questing Jodorowsky characters.
