After 2007's Shins release Wincing the Night Away blew the doors open for the Shins, they became an international name in their own right. Now they've decided to go it alone for the release of their next album, releasing the album on Aural Apothecary, the label owned by band member James Mercer. Maybe they've got Nine Inch Nails envy.
