Matt Hales wasn't like all the other kids. When he was 4, he was composing songs on his piano, when he was 11 he wrote his school's song, at 17 he had composed a 60-piece orchestra that he conducted himself. Not a bad resume to have before going off to university. In 1990, Matt had broke-up he and his brother's band, Mecano Pig, to study music at City University.
