Pelican have really gained a mass of fans over the last few years, primarily because of their strong album The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw. They were tasked with trying to follow that album up and have succeeded on all accounts with City Of Echoes. The best thing about this follow-up is that Pelican didn't sacrifice anything. The heaviness is still hear, no vocals exist on City, and the dynamics are better than ever.
