After Rob Garza's hideous Dust Galaxy project I had to reach back for a Thievery Corporation album in order to rid myself of the awful taste he left in my mouth. The mix albumVersions is a couple years old now but rest assured it is every bit as essential as their artist albums. Versions includes great reworkings of songs by Transglobal Underground, The Doors, Herb Alpert, Nouvelle Vague, Astrud and Bebel Gilberto, Sarah McLachlan, Wax Poetic (w/ Norah Jones), Anoushka Shankar and quite a few others.
