Air Traffic are one of those bands who are easily misjudged. They write pop songs about sad things that happen to all of us, rock fashionable haircuts and most of their tunes are dominated by a piano and lead singer Chris Wall's sore throat-inducing cries. Which is why much of the short-sighted music press have been quick to dismiss the Bournemouth, UK-born kids as the latest mom-band fad, la Coldplay and The Fray.
