It might have slipped by your attention that Ray Davies, the Kinks lynchpin who is widely held as one of Britain's finest songwriters, has been hinting that the band will tour and, perhaps, release their first new album since 1994's To The Bone. Exciting stuff, but it's fabrication, states Ray's brother Dave, who played guitar for the band. "To be honest, Ray and I haven't even spoken in over six months," he says.
