A welcome return for Manc bedroom balladeer James Noir and as always he can be counted on for that chirpy singalonga 60s tinged pop belter. On this cheeky little EP it's not the title track, the would be very good but marred by that no-no, a vocoder. No, it's the splendid stomping/slow beat changing second charmer Standing on a Corner; a glorious multi-layered psychedelic onion of an effort that peels away to reveal wandering keys, swooping harmonies and pa-pa-pa backing vocals.
