First up were the Wombats. Delivering a kind of Cure 1st album sound and vocal (the heavier stuff without the pop sensibilities), they went down a storm. They enjoyed it too, and the heady mix of good quality songs delivered with punch and pleasure made for a promising start to the evening. Worth another look. The Holloways was a more complex affair.
