Post-rock is a notoriously difficult genre, with those that master it infecting an anxious, baited-breath feeling in the listener, and those that dont leaving people utterly disappointed and somewhat angered. Ive seen far too many bands take the second route, cocking-up song after song of discordant nonsense that takes cue from bands like Mogwai and Godspeed but covers the original idea in so much manure distortion that any trace of talent is washed downstream.
