Lush, funky and joyful as always, Deerhoof nevertheless chose a different path in recording their latest. "Deerhoof vs. Evil" was a DIY affair, self-recorded and mixed from sounds laid down in various private spaces and rooms. While the result isn't that much different in sound, that free spirit infects the record to the core.
